The poet asks what need to bind love when love stands with such radiant wings over us? I chose this image for the last because it embodies all that she has learned. She is able to be free and to love without condition, to not bind love. She is at peace.
Swan: Swans are the embodiment of grace, beauty, and strength. In order for the swan t take off it has to exert great strength to lift the bulk of its body with its wings. But after it is in flight, it is graceful, beautiful, magnificent. The development of the swan is one of transformation. As in the story of The Ugly Duckling, the cygnet is unaware of the great beauty that it will possess and, indeed, the reality that the efficacy of that beauty already lies within. It was not until he saw his own potentiality that he could embrace it and take flight. Despite the heaviness of the bitter, she is able to be light and experience the sweet as well. Only when sheembraces both can she truly fly and be free.
